An online conference for Security Code

Event highlights.
The Spark Behind It All.
Security Code challenged iMARUSSIA! to create a large-scale online conference that would reflect the company’s technological standing and its position as one of the information security market leaders.
This had to be much more than a high-quality live stream. We set out to build a complete digital product with its own narrative, visual language and audience engagement mechanics. An experience that would work seamlessly across devices and keep viewers watching.
Project scope:

A rigorous approach.
We began with research. Our team reviewed leading online events in IT and information security produced in Russia and internationally.
We analysed what kept viewers engaged, where attention was lost, and how direction, graphics and interactive mechanics shaped the experience. We identified both the ideas worth developing and the mistakes that had to be avoided.
The conclusion was clear: a strong online event cannot be a smaller version of an offline conference. It has to be designed from the outset for the screen, the live broadcast and digital interaction.
Zero room for uncertainty.
We built three fully equipped studios at World Trade Center Moscow and connected them within a single production system.
The programme streams ran simultaneously. Speaker movement, studio switching, content delivery and technical operations were all managed against one master schedule.
Each studio operated as an independent broadcast set. Yet all the complexity remained behind the scenes. What viewers saw was one coherent, precise and visually consistent conference.
Content worth
staying for.
Together with Artyom Gusev and the Glagol team, we prepared the speakers for live broadcast, working from the central idea of each talk through to its final structure and delivery.
The coaches helped speakers sharpen their message, build a compelling argument and introduce case studies, metaphors, stories and moments of surprise. Every presentation was adapted for the camera, the allotted timing and a professional audience.
The result was a series of clear, dynamic and convincing talks that went far beyond reading slides on screen.
Graphics with
a purpose.
We developed a distinctive visual language for the conference, producing over a hundred graphic layouts and animations as well as three-dimensional AR objects integrated directly into the live broadcast.
The graphics supported the conference’s central themes: cybersecurity, cloud technologies and digital infrastructure. They helped explain complex ideas, highlight key messages and sustain audience attention.
Augmented reality was not used as decoration. It became part of the storytelling.
Recognised by
the industry.
The project won the public vote at the Event of the Year Awards in two categories: Online Conference of the Year and Online Business Forum of the Year.
It was also shortlisted for the Silver Mercury Awards as one of the year’s outstanding online event projects.
For the iMARUSSIA! team, the conference proved an essential point: viewers should never have to see the complexity behind a production.
Behind the screen, there may be three studios, augmented reality, hundreds of graphic assets, a mobile application and an extensive creative and technical team. On screen, the audience should experience just one thing: a seamless, precise and engaging event.
