IIBS was one of the first information technology companies to start up in Russia in the early 90s, when the IT market had just emerged. Today IBS ranks among the top 500 largest companies in the country and is a key technology partner to Russian business leaders. IBS has delivered over 15,000 projects, employs 4,000+ people, and operates offices in 13 cities across Russia. In 2022, IBS celebrated 30 years since its foundation.
This was a big date for the entire team, and the company had a year-long celebration featuring various business, educational, charitable and, of course, entertainment events. It was decided to throw a series of summer open airs in all cities of IBS presence to cheer and team up employees whose communication had mostly come down to online meetings. For the major event that took place in Moscow, we pursued to engage almost 2,000 employees ranging in age from 23 to 60!
Sincere emotions and fond memories were rooted in our solution: we divided the years of the company’s existence into three decades and set up three large activity zones highlighting the landmarks of each period.
- coming up with an innovative event idea;
- creating the event's identity;
- ensuring full technical support;
- setting up 7 photo booths and 19 activity zones;
- setting up 5 theme food courts;
- offering branding and production;
- designing and making decorations;
- mapping out guest management.
Traveling "from era to era," our employees visited seven photo booths, five theme food courts and nineteen different activities: they took pictures in a real cherry VAZ, competed with a tube man in a dance contest, ran with a boombox on their shoulders, and made trending prints on T-shirts, enjoying 90s pop hits. The 00s zone offered to play a shooting range hitting CDs onto the shelves, get glamorous tattoos, or sing along to favorite pre-recorded tracks in our "reinvented" karaoke. In the 10s zone, poeple played healthy volleyball, posed for a photo with surfboards, and made bouquets at a floral workshop, developing an aesthetic sense.
Each completed activity opened up one pixel of an image on the main outdoor stage's screen. The finished picture set off the night's high point—a Russian band UMA2RMAN's performance and the crowd's singing to their all-time hits.
Given the pre-activation stage, the event got remarkably huge, welcoming over 805 guests with 83% of all activities completed, 1,279 views on our news, and some hundred comments below the posts on our internal platform.
Apart from the numbers, we are glad to give our guests positive emotions, prepare an awesome event to celebrate the IBS anniversary year, create a warm and friendly atmosphere, and inspire the team to future great wins!
